Description
WESTON, MA — State Police in Weston stopped a car on Route 90 for erratic driving on Wednesday and ended up charging all three people in the car with weapons possessions.
Troopers saw a gray Dodge Caravan erratically changing lanes and forcing other drivers to dangerously dodge them. A State Trooper pulled the car over and took the driver's information. The driver, a Worcester man, had his license suspended and the trooper arrested him, according to police.
During the arrest, the trooper went to grab a bag that the man asked for and felt what he believed was a gun inside. When he unzipped the bag he found a loaded Bersa .380 pistol — police said the man did not have a firearms license.
Troopers pulled two other people out of the car and found a rifle case within their reach, according to police. The two men, one from Boston and the other from Arlington, did not have a firearms license. Police found a Winchester Rifle inside the case and 28 rounds of ammunition in a black sock.
All three men are facing possession of a firearm and ammunition charges, the driver is facing several traffic violations as well.
