Join VU and Chicago Votes as we learn about Civic Activism across Chicago.
Volunteering allows us to partner with local organizations to improve life throughout our local communities. However, we all have an opportunity to learn more and engage in conversation about the work these organizations do everyday throughout Chicago. Building a more inclusive democracy is vital to all of our partners and is central to the mission of Chicago Votes.
Join us for this JEDI Educational Series where we’ll hear from Alex Boutros on the topic “Civic Activism with Chicago Votes”. This will be a unique opportunity to learn and ask questions about everything Chicago Votes does to engage diverse populations throughout the city and build enthusiasm for greater democratic engagement among young people.

About Chicago Votes
At Chicago Votes, we believe in the potential of our generation to use organizing and advocacy to change politics as usual. We utilize these tools to develop the next generation of young leaders in Chicago. We bring together young, driven Chicagoans who are ready to get their hands dirty and learn the grassroots basics of our democracy. Want to learn how to organize large-scale volunteer events (we got ya!), oversee a massive voter registration drive (you bet!), throw an awesome panel/debate/conference (who doesn’t?) We’re committed to educating, training, and empowering the next generation of Chicagoans and have designed our programs to act as springboards for young leaders to enter the life of political and public service.
