Description

Join us for a truly East Bay Cannabis Educational Experience. Visit and hold conversations with a cultivator, manufacturer & dispensary. Register Now! The CannaBus Educational Experience Tour will be held on May 12th, from 9:30a to 4:00p in the East Bay area. The tour is designed for community college administrators, faculty members, CTE and workforce development professionals; to better understand the legal and responsible cannabis industry. The tour will showcase three industries in the cannabis space: A grower/cultivator, a production facility and a dispensary. This is a full day event that will include breakfast pastries, lunch and a Q & A session with cannabis industry subject matter experts. The day begins at Jetty Extracts. Jetty was started in 2013 and makes a variety of cannabis products. During this portion of the tour attendees will learn about the cannabis extraction process and the different methods of manufacturing. Our final stop will be at Embarc, a cannabis retail dispensary. Embarc has various locations in Northern California and guests will get a private Q & A with their staff, time to browse the variety of cannabis products for sale and get an insight to occupations of: budtender, sales ambassador, inventory manager and retail store manager. Cannabis and hemp have exploded into a multi-billion dollar industry that is expected to experience continuous growth. However, as seen in many other industry sectors, cannabis producers and retailers face labor shortages. They also have complex needs, questions and concerns about attracting, training, developing and up-skilling their employees' skills. As Regional Directors for the Bay Region we created this cross-sector initiative between the industry sectors of: Agriculture, Entrepreneurship and Retail, Hospitality, Tourism to address the industry's workforce needs. Attendees will tour in an 18 passenger luxury bus. All county required COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed.
