Our mission is: Helping the Neglected Poor Become Self-Reliant We work with the world's extreme to poor to help them meet their fundamental needs through sustainable community development projects. Established in Canada in 1975, we are part of the global HOPE International Development Agency network in the US and Japan, which has jointly assisted 20 million people on the path to self-reliance since its founding. Active in countries that include Ethiopia, Cambodia, and the Philippines, our projects focus on the provision of clean water, primary health, sanitation, micro-loans, and education. Grassroots, community-based organizations are the heartbeat of HOPE and we keep them central to everything we do. Here’s how.
