Welcome to Wine Meats Cheese. We are a wine warehouse that ships for 3rd party vendors and we serve as operations headquarters for our catering department. This job is perfect for anybody looking for an alternative to the restaurant or hospitality industry - as well as warehouse professionals. In this fast-paced warehouse job, you’ll lift, lower and slide packages up to 50 lbs. You’ll typically work 6 hour shifts, approximately 15 - 30 hours per week in this part-time role with potential to transition into a full-time role if desired. We pay above industry average!! Starting pay is $20-$22 an hour depending on job function. DAILY ACTIVITIES: General warehouse operations Load and unload trucks Sort packages Pack/unpack event equipment into vans Movement of material Dock labor Transportation Keep inventory stocked, put away and organized Ensure warehouse remains clean YOU: Able to maximize use of time to effectively complete work Keep the Warehouse clean and organized Treat all fellow employees with respect Able to work with minimal supervision Must be able to know all the Equipment & Parts that we have in the Warehouse Perform any other management requests or directives as they relate to the overall function of Company policy DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE for a PACKAGE HANDLER: No experience required - we will train you! Must be at least 18 years of age High School diploma or equivalent GED Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills Able to lift to 50 lbs unassisted Able to use a Pallet Jack Must have valid Driver's License Flexible Schedule, the occasional weekend and/or early morning will be needed WORKING CONDITIONS: Warehouse environment Exposure to moderate noise levels EQUIPMENT USED: Standard office equipment, security equipment, computer/printer, copy machine, fax machine Pallet Jack Company Vehicles Daily Activities: General warehouse operations, load and unload trucks, shipping and receiving, movement of material, package tracking, dock labor, and transportation / distribution.
