Mount Eden Vineyards is looking for a vineyard and bottling worker for the 2022 harvest season. Mount Eden Vineyards has been producing age worthy wines for the past 50 years. Specializing in Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet, Mount Eden has proven to produce wines that compete on the world stage. Located 2,000 feet above Silicon Valley on young rocky soils, the wines are restrained, elegant, and long lasting. With a small seven man production team, Mount Eden produces 16,000 cases a year with the majority of the fruit coming from estate vineyards. The full time position entails vineyard work all season and bottling work in the summer time. Work includes: Vineyard: Canopy management Shoot thinning Sampling Picking Pruning Vineyard installation and repair Bottling: Loading line Making boxes Packing boxes Requirements: Good work ethic Able to lift 50 lbs Punctual Hourly rate starts at $20/hour. There is potential for work inside the winery if applicant proves to be competent and willing to learn. Work starts 6/2022 and runs through harvest ending in 11/2022. Opportunity to continue working will be evaluated at that time. Healthcare and paid vacation will be offered if there is continued employment in 2023.
