90's - Early 2000's Alternative/Pop Punk Band

Looking to start a low-key band inspired by 90's-early 2000's alternative and pop punk music. Fine with being a cover band playing songs from this era, and maybe (eventually) writing our own original music. Mainly just wanna jam with a group with similar taste in music. About me: I'm a 24y.o. guy in Rohnert Park. Learned to play guitar in 7th grade and mainly played covers in my bedroom, but also have experience being in a band while I was attending university prior to moving here. Was the rhythm guitarist and did occasional backing vocals. I own a bass guitar but have only ever used it for tracking, but worst case scenario, I wouldn't be against being the bassist. Have some basic experience with recording and the mixing/mastering process. I currently intern at a studio nearby as a sound guy for bands that use the space for rehearsal. Will have access to this space for our own rehearsals at a discounted rate.
