Description
WESTON, MA — Ice skating in Weston at College Pond is still on this year.
The town announced on Wednesday that skating will be allowed once ice conditions are safe, although there will be extra rules this year to stop the potential spread of COVID-19. Safe conditions will be announced when the town observes 6 inches or more of ice thickness.
Among the new COVID-19 rules are a mask requirement at all times and social distancing of six feet between people of different households. No organized or spontaneous group activities will be allowed, including but not limited to pickup pond hockey or organized team warm up, practice, and scrimmage activities.
The Warming Hut will also remain closed throughout the season.
