Description

Research session presenting current data on faith-based organizations' response to disaster, and support for building these networks. This research session will include: 1) a research presentation on the response of the Black church to the 2021 Jackson Water Crisis, 2) a focus group to collect primary data on what churches and other faith-based community organizations can do to bolster and improve disaster response , and 3) networking opportunities to increase collaboration and coordination among attendees. Lunch will be provided.
