He utilizes a combination of soft dreamy acoustic guitar, bass, levitating slide, and harsh lyrical content to paint a picture of soft beautiful suffering. Moth’s music is noted to be dark and dreamy with imperceptible lyrics that tackle mental illness, spirituality, childhood trauma, and the arduous journey it takes to heal oneself. With elements of ethereal, emo, and indie rock, Moth has been influenced by Gregory And The Hawk, Julien Baker, Grimes, Julianna Barwick, Now, Now, and composers Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein.
