Description

SALEM, MA — Beverly and Salem will hold their next joint Styrofoam recycling day as part of their Resilient Together campaign on June 11. Residents from both cities will be able to drop off Styrofoam at the Mayor Jean Levesque Community Center on Bridge Street in Salem from 9 a.m. to noon that day. While styrofoam cannot be recycled curbside, the company "Save That Stuff" has densifiers that can process the material for recycling. The event will accept large, rigid, white pieces of styrofoam. Packaging peanuts and food containers, such as takeout containers and Styrofoam cups, cannot be accepted. For more information, contact Beverly Sustainability Director Erina Keefe at [email protected] or 617-605-2332, or Salem Waste Reduction Coordinator Michaela Gugliemi at [email protected] or 978-619-5672.
