DANVERS, MA — Danvers voters will go to the polls in the annual town election on Tuesday. Here's what you need to know if you are headed to the polls. Who's running? The following races are contested. Select Board (Vote for no more than 2 candidates; 3-year term) Timothy Trevor Donahue Daniel Bennett David Mills School Committee (Vote for no more than 1 candidate; 3-year term) Paula Jones Gabriel Lopes Library Board of Trustees (Vote for no more than 3 candidates; 3-year term) Natalie Fiore Frank Herschede Kenneth Lee Julie Curtis The following races are not contested. Town Moderator (1-year term) Patricia Fraizer Danvers residents will also vote for precinct town meeting members. All of the eight Precincts' 18 seats will be up for election. The top six candidates in each Precinct that received the most votes will be elected to the 3-year term, the next six, to the 2-year term, and the last six of the top 18 will be elected to the 1-year term. Appropriate caucuses will be held prior to the Annual Town Meeting for seats where ties occur. Election Day voting Voting for the May 3 annual town election will be held at Danvers High School on Cabot Street for all six precincts from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you are not sure what precinct you are in, visit the Secretary of State's website. Absentee voting All absentee ballots are returned to the Town Clerk's office or drop box at Town Hall. Your ballot must be received by the Town Clerk by 8 p.m. on Election Night.
