Here are the top three stories in Buffalo today: The Buffalo Common Council has begun reviewing the proposed city budget. Mayor Byron Brown proposed the $568 million budget late last week and now the common council will make changes. The most notable inclusion in the budget is a proposed property tax hike that would raise a $100,000 home's tax bill by $50 a year. (WGRZ.com)The City of Buffalo has placed Broadway Barns, the Buffalo Animal Shelter, and land around Metro Rail LaSalle Station out for bid. The properties are owned by the city and private development will now have the opportunity to bid on them.
