Pre-K - 3: Beginning Phonics of Reading- (ABC, 123) teaches the integrated phonics methods. Promote strong confidence in oral reading, reading comprehension, and word completion. Grades 4th-7th- Academic Reading- teaching the fundamentals. Math Phonics- teaching the basic computation and problem-solving skills and using our 10 Step Strategies to master each math skill while promoting confidence with word problems. Academic Writing- proficiency is required for all students beginning the 4th grade. NOLB teaches a process approach to write and emphasizes improving grammar and sentence structure. Students will learn the ability to write various documentation, from paragraphs to short essays. *As Parents, one of the scariest things for our children is to see them struggle with reading comprehension and being able to retell stories and then be able to write them on paper. It is an easy process when you have multiple choices, but there are many times our children go through testing, and their words and thoughts are all jumbled up, or they have no idea even to begin! **As a teacher, it is a significant concern for the parents as the students are being tested on various levels and unable to reach their potential goals. This is where we can help; we are continuously starting an 8-week course of reading and writing comprehension throughout the school year and summer programs. ^For Preschool-2nd grade, we will start from the beginning with phonics, word recognition, retelling, and comprehending. They will get everything needed to get them the extra help to be able to read and then write. In the ^^3rd-6th grade, we will add all the same. Still, we will teach students to look for the main ideas as they read the passage. The student will comprehend what they just read to make testing taking an easy process through our basic technique. Students will highlight details to compose their writing skills for everyday Language Arts and Grammar and build their reading skills to use in all subjects.
