Description

CHATHAM, NJ — Chatham Borough has a new option for getting rid of styrofoam and compost. Borough residents can now drop off them off at the Madison Recycling Center. The Chatham Borough Council approved a memorandum of understanding at April 11's meeting on the issue. The action allows borough residents to drop off styrofoam for recycling at the center. Borough residents subscribed to Java's Compost services can bring their compost to the facility too. "Many Chatham Borough residents have been inquiring about how they can recycle their styrofoam," said Council President Irene Treloar. "We are thrilled to offer Chatham Borough residents the convenience of bringing their Styrofoam and composting to Madison at no added expense to Chatham Borough, and to continue to expand upon our shared collaborations with Madison." The Madison Recycling Center on Station Road is open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays. Thanks for reading. Have a news tip?
