The Bilingual Support Counselor in Wraparound services works on a multi-disciplinary team and provides behaviorally focused mental health services to children and families referred through our Kaiser Wrap Program. These services, which are child and family focused and strength based, are provided in the office and community, including, but not limited to schools, hospitals, and family homes. In addition, the Bilingual Support Counselor mentors, trains and provides consultation to a team of Wraparound staff on specific behavioral interventions to support clients and families. Responsibilities Provide behavioral coaching, counseling, skill building, case management, and crisis intervention services to clients and caregivers.Contribute to the development of treatment plans by working with clients to identify the function of their behavior/symptoms and effective replacement behaviors.Implement behavioral interventions to clients and caregivers.Provide on-call coverage to the program as scheduled.Participate in all program staff meetings, and other treatment meetings when necessary.Complete mental health notes, functional behavioral analyses, treatment plans, and other paperwork as indicated.Conducts work with client, families, and county partners that aligns with the National Wraparound Model.Provides culturally-specific services for clients and families, using conceptual frameworks that take into account a client and family’s cultural location (race, ethnicity, nationality, class, education, gender, sexual orientation, etc.).Serves as a consultant for other direct care staff by providing training and/or additional case consultation that aligns with Seneca’s unconditional care model and clinical philosophies (i.e. three streams, internal working model, functional behavioral analysis etc.) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Valid California driver's license and insurability with Seneca's automobile policyClearance of TB test, fingerprints, and any other mandatory State/Federal licensing or certification requirementsProof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster requiredExperience providing strong behavioral interventions with youth (preferably within a community based setting)Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary teamAbility to work with a diverse population of clientsStrong written and verbal skills, including solid computer skills in Microsoft Office programsStrong organizational skills as demonstrated by the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks Schedule Full timeMonday – Friday9am-5pm or 10am-6pmFlexible schedule requiredAbility to work some evenings and weekend hours as neededParticipate in On-Call Crisis Response on a rotating basis Benefits Starting at $22.25 per hourMileage ReimbursementAnnual performance evaluations provide the potential for a generous salary increase each yearComprehensive employee benefits package, including medical, dental, vision and chiropractic coverage, as well as partially paid premiums for dependentsEmployer-paid Employee Assistance Plan (EAP)4 weeks of flexible paid time off and 11 Paid HolidaysWe provide a 403b Retirement PlanScholarship opportunities, ongoing training, and professional development opportunities Key words: nonprofit, non-profit, mental health, mental health agency, counselor, youth, adolescent, child, children, parent, advocate, entry level position, senior level position, healthcare, behavioral health, new grad friendly, recent graduate Please apply directly online through our website by clicking here!
