PITTSBURGH, PA — Gas prices hit a new record high in Pittsburgh on Thursday, according to AAA.
Thursday's average price was $4.37 per gallon, about four cents more Wednesday's average price.
As of Thursday morning, the national average is $4.24 per gallon and the Pennsylvania average is $4.41.
"As long as the supply remains tight, it will be hard for crude oil prices to fall and consumers will in turn face higher prices at the pump," said Andrew Gross, AAA spokesperson. "It now costs drivers in the U.S. about $23 more to fill up than a year ago."
