EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Jim McKeever along with his son, Patrick, are organizing the second annual Fore-A-Cause golf outing benefitting Christmas Without Cancer, which provides holiday gifts and necessities to local families stricken by cancer. The event will be held Saturday, June 25, at the Harborside International Golf Center, 11011 S. Doty S. Ave. East, Chicago. Check-in and registration starts at 8 a.m., followed by a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The golf outing will kick off at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start. Dinner will follow at 3 p.m. at 115 Bourbon Street, 3359 W. 115th St., Merrionette Park, which also includes entertainment and an open bar. Christmas Without Cancer is near and dear to the hearts of the McKeever family when Jim was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma in 2016. "I was overwhelmed by the generosity of Christmas Without Cancer, and how all involved truly care about the impact of cancer not only on the patient, but the entire family," McKeever said. "My cancer has now returned three times, and each time Christmas Without Cancer has been extraordinarily generous to my family and me. This golf outing is a way for my family to give back to a great organization, and help provide assistance to other cancer families, patients, and survivors." Get a foursome together or sign up as a single, the McKeevers will find someone nice to pair you off with. Individual tickets are $190 or $740 for a foursome. Tickets include a golf cart, lunch, refreshments on the course, a 4-hour bar, T-shirt and other giveaways. Dinner-only tickets are $60, and includes a 4-hour bar, starting at 3 p.m. Purchase tickets online. For more information or for sponsorships, email [email protected]
