AURORA, IL — For the fourth consecutive year, Aurora Farmers Market will return to Water Street Square in downtown Aurora starting June 4, organizers announced. Each week on Saturday, vendors will sell fresh produce, baked goods, artisan items and coffee. A selection of local food trucks — Dick's Mini Donuts is among them — will also be around to sell bites to eat. Summer 2022 marks the market's 110th season, according to its website, and it will be open from 8 a.m. to noon each Saturday through Oct. 8, weather permitting. Vendors set up at 65 Water St., located across the street from City Hall and Water Street Mall. "Saturday mornings just got a whole lot better!" organizers wrote in an update on Facebook Monday. Miss Jamie's Farm, a popular music show for kids and their families, will be among the new activities happening June 4, organizers announced. The singer will "share values from life down on the farm" through songs and dances. Illinois-based singer/songwriters Colleen Wild and Jason Benefield, also known as Echo and Ransom, will also be performing at the first farmers market of 2022. Their live show is scheduled to last from 8 a.m. to noon. "We'll see you at the Market," organizers said. "And while you're down here, stay a while and explore!"
