A warm welcome, smiling face, and professional demeanor are of the utmost importance! What Will I Do? This position operates with the help of supervision the events for the waterfront at the Port of Everett. has been developed to assist the location manager meet the needs of the parking program at the Port of Everett. As a Lot Ambassador you will drive through the 40-acre property enforcing the parking rules equitably throughout. The Details: Part-Time Seasonal Shifts: March through October. Must be able to communicate clearly in English language. Must present friendly, outgoing attitude. Must wear medical mask throughout the shift. $19.00 per hour. Shifts are variable and offered during scheduling of each event. No guaranteed hours except as events are planned. Principal Job Duties: Communicate superbly with customers creating amazing customer service interactions. Stand in place for long periods of time communicating with hand signals and verbal signals to the public. Walk and/or briskly run-in order to coordinate event in fast paced environment. Visual inspection of payment confirmations. Learn the different lots and rules regarding the rules set forth by Parking Policies. Cashier, credit card payments when applicable. Help customers whenever possible. Think fast on your feet, demonstrate adaptability in pressure situations. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Skills: Ability to communicate in all situations. Must be able to work unsupervised. Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded). Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness. Excellent team building and interpersonal skills. Physical Demands: Willingness to work in the elements -- heat, wind, snow, rain, etc. Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds. Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time. Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
