The Spirit of the Position: A LAZ Lot Ambassador plays a significant role in the success of the company. They are the frontline of our operations and help people. A warm welcome, smiling face, and professional demeanor are of the utmost importance! What Will I Do? This position has been developed to assist the location assistant manager in meeting the needs of the parking program at the Port of Everett. It is the Ambassador’s job to enforce customer and tenant compliance with the parking policy at the ground level throughout the Port of Everett’s 40 acres of property. You will do this by driving through the different parking lots and scanning license plates using license plate recognition software and equipment, citing vehicles not complying with the rules, as well as fielding any customer questions or concerns. The Details: Must be able to communicate clearly in English language Must present friendly, outgoing attitude. Shifts starts May Training Begins in April Must have valid Driver’s License Minimum 16 Weekly hours in, possible additional hours during events May through August possibly September Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision Principal Job Duties: Drive the work vehicle through parking areas with professional demeanor. Learn the software used to scan vehicles. Occasionally physically walk-through parking areas doing a visual inspection of permits. Learn the different lots and rules regarding the rules set forth by Parking Policies. Accurately issue citations related to that Lot using a handheld device. Communicate superbly with customers creating amazing customer service interactions. Help customers whenever possible. Assisting with events and preparation for events. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Skills: Ability to communicate in all situations. Must be able to work unsupervised. Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded). Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness. Excellent team building and interpersonal skills. Willingness to ask questions or for help when necessary. Ability to accept constructive criticism and accept responsibility for actions taken. Physical Demands: Willingness to work in the elements -- heat, wind, snow, rain, etc. Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds. Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time. Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
