We are a small, established tree service seeking a solid, experienced tree climber with a strong work ethic to lead a crew. Our ideal candidate is reliable, has good communication skills and works well with other crew members/customers. Climber needs to have the following knowledge/skills/training/qualifications: Be physically capable of performing strenuous tree removal services and have the endurance to perform job duties throughout a standard eight hour day. Perform the basic and advanced tree felling, pruning and removal techniques that are required to safely trim and remove trees of all species & sizes near obstacles and in high risk situations. Be willing to help train a crew to fit your needs and preferences as a climber. Have knowledge in the following areas: climbing and rigging, knots and hitches, safe work practices, basic first aid, hazard recognition. Comfortable working at heights, with close quarter removals and in most weather conditions. Have a general working knowledge and be able to properly maintenance gear and equipment. Be willing to assist the ground crew with jobsite cleanup when needed and have the ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs). Experience in driving/maneuvering a chip truck and chipper is preferred (CDL not required). As a company, we strive to maintain a competent demeanor on the job.
