EmpireWorks Reconstruction is hiring CARPENTERS with EXPERIENCE in the Ventura County area to work on large apartments, condominiums and commercial buildings. Empireworks Carpenters work in various remodel projects. They specialize in exterior wood repairs and must have the ability to build, erect, install, and repair forms, structures, and other fixtures made from wood and other materials as needed to assist with various types of construction projects. Additional duties include but are not limited to: -Fascia repair/replacement: This includes removing/placing gutter systems, carefully removing fascias from rafters, measuring & cutting Fascia according to job site specs(this includes mitered corners), & installation of fascia. -Exterior Trim: Replacement/Repair of window trim, door trim & soffits -Siding repair/replacement: Knowledgeable with various type of siding materials & ability to evaluate, remove, and install siding. -Deck Repairs: Including demolition, inspect joist/post, remove rotten joist/post, applying sealer, reinforce/secure joist, prepare replacement deck board & attach new decking. -Stairwell Repairs: Includes demolition, post removal/replacement, stair stringers, treads & hand rails. -Additional duties include replacement of Garage door headers, installation/adjustment of Doors, rafter tails, belly band, handrails & Fencing. Qualifications -Ability to move,work, and work of ladders. -Ability to understand directions and read blueprints. -Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately. -Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade. -Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods. -Works well as part of a team. -Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling. -Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. -Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment. -Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains. -Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination. *Experience Is Needed *EmpireWorks will provide all the equipment.
