OUR OPERATIONS: California Wells Services, LLC (CWS) is a provider of workover rigs, well site equipment, rig crews, and consulting services to the Southern California oil and gas industry. CWS’s key areas of operation include Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties POSITION SUMMARY: • Performing services on oil and gas wells as part of a 3/5-person crew of a well service rig • Arrive on time for any shift assigned and for all meetings • Take direction from rig operator, all supervisors. • Work the floor as instructed • Work the derrick and rod basket as instructed at heights of 0’-90’ • Assist in maintenance and repair of equipment and rig • Assisting in rigging up and rigging down of rig and equipment as directed • Lift, remove, install, and operate well head, pumping units matting boards, tubing, rods, casing, rod strippers, polish rods, JU stripper heads and other production equipment as required. • Operate/use rod wrenches, rod/tubing tongs, rod/tubing elevators, hand tools, powered rig tools and other related equipment. • Ability to bend, stoop and lift objects of up to 75 lbs. for extended periods of time • Able to stand for 10 to 12 hours and walk for about 3 hours throughout the workday • Able to carry between 10 to 50 pounds frequently with occasionally lifting 20 to 100 pounds throughout the day • Able to kneel, reach and regularly work at heights exceeding 4 feet above the work surface, as well as, bending throughout the workday • Able to grasp, occasionally, during the day and frequently push and pull objects throughout the workday • Perform work consistent with the company’s safe operating procedures • Keep equipment clean and in working condition • Driving a crew truck when necessary REQUIREMENTS: Pre-employment background check, DMV check, Drug Screen and Physical.
