Bystanders at Chapman Square Theft, 5/4

Hello! My friend and I were hanging out at Chapman Square yesterday evening — We didn’t make it to the protest the day before, but were hoping to have our own little one together since it was such a nice day. We set my bag down at the monument (stupid, I know!) for less than a few minutes and some guy grabbed it and took off in a car. Of course, the cops were the least helpful out of everyone who immediately checked in on us — But I just want to thank all of the incredibly kind strangers who saw it all go down and stayed to make sure we were okay and able to get home safely, since pretty much everything got taken. The kind couple, the dog walkers, the news man and videographer, the construction crew, the friends we made! You guys gave us a whole lot of hope in the world we live in! We won’t let it stop us from coming back out either, so hopefully we’ll see you at a march or out on another sunny day. Much much MUCH love! Also - If you were there, or weren’t, keep your eyes out for a silver Toyota Camry with a yellow plate, 371LTU. It also has a dent in the back now, thanks to one of these kind strangers.
