Newly forming cover band searching for a female vocalist interested in taking a trip on a musical journey into the unknown. There is no band that I know of locally doing what we are setting out to accomplish. We’re going to be a large numbered group, that does covers of hits from mostly this past millennium. Heavily focusing on the Indie Rock/Folk movement of the early 2000’s… Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros Of Monsters And Men The Lumineers Arcade Fire Modest Mouse The Head And The Heart Feist The White Stripes The Black Keys Vance Joy Houndmouth Peter Bjorn & John Gotye Fitz & The Tantrums Vampire Weekend Rilo Kiley Portugal, The Man The Killers The Shins And many more… If you have other musical abilities outside of singing that is always a plus. Guitar, ukulele, slide whistle… We’ll have a dedicated rehearsal studio to get all of the material whipped into shape. As the primary female lead vocalist you’ll be expected to help lead the group and actively be able to share the stage/limelight with our male lead singer and all other band members. I have been doing live music most of my life and have little time for individuals that don’t want to learn the material, be a team player, engage in reckless or excessive alcohol & drug use. We will be able to take this outfit to some really interesting places with the right individuals. Bookings and all management duties will be handled by myself.
