Description
The Shipping/Receiving Associate is responsible for preparing, processing and recording items/orders in receiving, shipping, and/or inventory areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Interprets shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, shipping and work assignments.
• Processes orders to ensure accuracy, condition and analysis of quality control information.
• Packs, labels and prepares documentation.
• Performs onsite inspection and record data for quality assurance and customer reports.
• Issues, receives and controls inventory of materials and finished goods.
• Verifies information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
• Assign part locations; provide accurate counts; resolves issues in a timely and accurate manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to read, understand and follow SOP's, and supervisor's instructions.
• Identifies problems and notifies supervisor/manager in a timely manner.
• Works effectively with others, helps and supports co-workers.
Experience and Training (Knowledge):
Six months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or sit for extended periods.
