We are seeking someone who is hard working, honest, and dependable to join a team of a Ranch Manager and a groundskeeper. The Position: Full Time employment as a Groundskeeper. You will receive an hourly wage and a benefits package. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Ranch Manager. Little to no travel is expected in this position. Job Responsibilities: • Maintain the exterior of a 20 acre residential properties with company provided equipment (lawn mowers, a tractor, hedge trimmers, and hand tools). • Assist in landscape installation and maintenance including, installation of trees and shrubs, clean up, mulching, weed control and other tasks as assigned by the Ranch Manager. • Be cross trained to assist in daily building maintenance issues as needed, to include but not limited to basic repairs and maintenance. • Maintaining gardens, lawns and large turf field • Caring for and cultivating foliage including planting, fertilizing, weeding, watering, trimming and pruning, soil conditioning, mulching and applying pesticides • Ensuring pathways, stairs, outdoor seating and other structures are safe and clean • Installing and repairing sprinkler and irrigation systems • Preparing outdoor areas for various weather conditions by weatherproofing, covering outdoor furniture with tarps, tying down unsecured items, etc • Feeding horses and cleaning barn area • Scheduling specialty services such as ground leveling or patio installation • Operating and maintaining garden and landscaping equipment • Ensure all interior and exterior areas of the property are free of litter and debris, clean, safe, and presentable at all times • As a Groundskeeper, you’ll assist with properly maintaining the appearance and physical condition of the property to ensure our resident and guests have the best possible experience Requirements: • Two years’ experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related occupation. Experienced in the operation of hand tools, power tools and lawn care equipment. • Legal U.S. citizen or green card holder, valid drivers license, good driving record, and the ability to be insured. • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to speak elementary English • Due to physical nature of the job, must be able to lift/move loads up to 50lbs as well as use a ladder. • Must live within 30 miles of the assigned property and have reliable transportation to participate in on-call duties.
