Job Overview Warehouse Specialist will perform material handling and shipping/receiving responsibilities in a fast-paced warehouse. Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Specialist will prepare shipment loads according to shipment paperwork and follow FIFO principle of inventory rotation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack, and stage products and materials using a forklift, or pallet jack - Follow specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily work assignments - Complete load specific paperwork, and verify proper documentation accompanies each load - Follow any special instructions on work assignment forms and / or additional documentation - Assist with physical inventories - Ensure proper stock rotation - General computer skills and ability to use required service software - Conduct operations safely - Participate in all assigned training programs and adhere to all guidelines - Assist in maintaining a clean, and safe work area - Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management - Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse Minimum Qualifications Education: - High School Diploma, GED (or equivalent, reading, writing, reasoning and computer skills) Experience: - 1+ year warehouse experience - 1+ year general labor Required skills: Ability to become certified to operate a forklift Previous experience operating motorized and manual pallet jack Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines Able to move fast to help with loading/unloading trucks Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk, reach with hands and arms for extended hours The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and be able to move kegs which weigh close to 165 pounds. Work Environment Work environment is mixed-use warehouse space. Noise level will vary based on dock traffic.
