Loving cat who deserves a chance

I have a beautiful orange 1 year old boy. He is a good cat who loves to snuggle, sometimes he gets a loud purr going. His name is Flint, he loves to play with hairties and loves treats. I am so sad to do this but he is not a good fit for our family. He likes to be left alone most of the time (snuggles on his terms). He does not do well with small children. This really depends because he sometimes attacks playfully and sometimes will attack and cause harm. He needs to be an outdoor cat (we are not allowed outdoor pets where I live). If he can not be an outdoor cat he needs to have a lot of room and hiding places. I am having a hard time getting him to go in his litter box. He sometimes will use the litter box and sometimes not. We live in a home with an infant and I am afraid that when she starts crawling or bothering him he might get her. I really want for him to go to a good home, he deserves it and he has a lot of potential. He loves my husband, and lays on his back and his belly. He's a good cat who just has a lot of energy and we don't have the means to let him outside to play! He is fixed and up to date on vaccines
