Description

I have a 3yr old female (I think) cockatiel. She’s not totally tame but when sit on your finger once you get her out of the cage. She’s never bit me when she’s been out. However, she’s not a fan of hands being in her cage and she will try to defend herself. She’s not mean and has gotten along with other birds. She’s has had two other cage mates. One was a cockatiel and the other was a love bird. She got along with both. Unfortunately they did pass on. She would do better with having a cage mate. She wants to snuggle. She does yell if I leave the room. Which is another reason why I say she should have a cage mate. I just don’t have time for her and I can’t let her roam free due to having a husky and cat in the home. I don’t want her the be locked up all of the time. She doesn’t deserve that. Which is why I’ve made the decision to rehome her. Her name is Sunny and she does know her name. She will let you know when she’s out of food. She won’t shut up until her bowl is full. Seriously.. Sunny just needs someone who has time to work with her. She also enjoys being outside. I put her out on my balcony when the weather is nice. She is a very vocal bird, so please know she does make a lot of noise especially when she hears birds outside. I say good morning to her daily but she hasn’t said a word. She doesn’t whistle either. This is not uncommon for female cockatiels. I’ve had many of these birds in my life. The males were always the singers and talkers. Not saying she won’t do it, consistency is key. With ALL of that being said, I’m asking $250. She will come with her big cage, whatever food/treats I have left and I believe I have a smaller travel size cage to put her in until you get her home.
