Local Contractor looking to fill temporary Weed Abatement positions. Job Description: -Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand tools. Occasionally uses backpack blowers, hedgers, and weed eaters. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: -Gather and remove litter. -Dispose of trash or waste materials. -Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruners, saws, hedge or brush trimmers. -Operate powered equipment, such as blowers, clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws. -Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners -Trim trees or other vegetation. -Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, parking lots, fountains, planters, drinking fountains, pavilions, or other grounds features -Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds. -Rake, mulch, and compost leaves. -Remove debris from work sites. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS: - General understanding of landscaping. - A positive attitude, who thrives on challenges, leads by example, and readily adapts in a competitive environment. - Spanish speaking is a plus but is not required. - Ability to follow oral and written directions. Requires the ability to sit or stand for potentially long periods of time throughout the workday. Salary based on experience. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 per hour
