Manufacturing Laborer - Full Time - 1st Shift

Description

At our site in Milford we cut, shape and chisel stone to our customer’s order. This is achieved using a combination of age-old craftsmen techniques couple with cutting edge machine technology. The jobs involve a high amount of manual handling and repetitive motion. Additionally this team is required to wear comprehensive personal protective equipment to protect them from the hazards associated with stone manufacturing. The positions require the ability to work Monday through Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Saturday working is on occasion. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Maintains supplies by receiving and stocking materials in designated areas. • Lifts as well as carries materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate equipment. • Maintains a neat and orderly work area at all times. • Performs daily cleaning and maintenance as required. • Operates equipment and machinery. Education and/or Knowledge/Experience includes: • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a multi-cultural environment. • Ability to lift and/or move 80 pounds without assistance. • Able to work in a humid environment and wear a respirator for the duration of the shift. • Able to stand, reach, bend, lift and twist without restrictions.
