MERRICK, NY — A fire completely destroyed a home in Merrick Wednesday night, sending flames shooting up into the air as neighbors gathered in the street to watch. The fire broke out in a home on Clubhouse Drive around 7:30 p.m. Flames completely engulfed the home and shot up into the night sky. Everyone who lived in the home made it out safe, and their dog was rescued from the blaze.
