The Cedar Avenue Block Party is the celebration of completing the Cedar Ave project of 11 homes! The Cedar Avenue Block Party will be a community celebration of the completion of our Cedar Ave project – in honor of our generous community partners, dedicated volunteers and staff, and our hardworking families. Together, we completed a big project of 11 homes . Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, community, and hope. To do this we must build lasting relationships throughout all parts of our community. This is a celebration of those relationships and what is accomplished when we come together. The goal of Habitat, and more specifically of our local affiliate, is that everyone in Benton, Franklin, and Walla Walla Counties will have a decent, safe, and affordable place to call home. Ultimately this celebration will also serve to help as form deeper relationships within our community and continue building homes so that fewer people will not have to live in housing insecurity but instead find more opportunities to thrive through homeownership. We want to strengthen the spirit of community building that motivates us by giving old and new neighbors, Habitat families and non-Habitat families, and all our partners, volunteers, and staff an opportunity to get to know each other – AND what better way then by having a party!
