Boat Ramp at Tomoka State Park - Ormond Beach, FL Happy to serve the HEROES in Eastern Florida from Jacksonville to Melbourne. Targeted fish are Reds, Trout, Flounder, and maybe even some bass in certain areas. The area is brackish water so there are multiple opportunities. There are chances to catch shark and other game fish as well. This event will be held at Tomoka State Park, Ormond Beach, Florida. Parking can be found at the top of the hill across the street. Parking at the boat ramp is limited to those with boat trailers. This is state park with public access, so please be considerate. Expect to see our Heroes On the Water flag or banner. HOW TO GET THERE: Event address: Tomoka State Park 2099 North Beach Street, Ormond Beach Ormond Beach, FL 32174 Travel on I95 to exit 293. Travel southeast on US-1 South towards Rosemary Street for 0.8 miles. Turn left onto Pine Drive and travel for 2.1 miles. Turn right onto North Beach Street for 0.8 miles. Turn left into the park. Once at the entrance travel for 0.8 miles and the entrance to the ramp will be to the left, Parking to the right next to the main lodge area. HEROES & guests are NOT allowed to be on/in a kayak(s) during the event without a designated HOW guide or required safety equipment. Everyone MUST wear your personal floatation device (PFD) the entire time while you are on/in the kayak. The Tomoka State Park Service is supporting our organizations with the location, volunteers, and support services. We are expecting other local community businesses to come on board as we get closer to the event. To also support Tomoka State Park Service, we are asking if you have gear to assist with collecting trash, please bring it with you. The estuary ins beautiful, and we want to keep it that way. Leave it BETTER than you found it. As a precaution, we suggest you bring a dry set of clothing, since this is water related event, and we never know about the weather & tides. COVID-19 operations are still in affect or until further notice. So please monitor the 6-foot rules and minimize the opportunity to be at risk. Events are subject to change based on things out of the Leadership Teams control. Please be on time, since we can never tell the weather, or the tides could change our event.
