WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough police are reminding drivers to buckle up after they said a seat belt saved the driver in a crash on Route 9 on Tuesday.
The crash happened on Route 9 near Wendy's on Tuesday night. A car hit the back and underside of a truck on the road, crushing the front end of the car. The driver suffered minor injuries.
Police said the crash was a good example of the dangers of using a phone while driving, hinting that the cause of the crash could have been distracted driving.
One lane of Route 9 was temporarily closed.
