WESTBOROUGH, MA — One Westborough cat is luck to be hanging onto his nine lives after a close call on Saturday and has the Westborough Fire Department to thank.
Fire crews got a call on Saturday night for a unique rescue mission: A cat was reported stuck in a car engine.
The call came from a private home and crews from Westborough Fire Department's Group 3 team showed up to free the feline from the engine of an SUV. Once he was out, he snuggled into his owners arms and let the rescuers pet him as a thank-you.
The fire department posted photos from the incident on Saturday night, captioning it in part, "CATastrophe averted."
