Annual showcase of films from the Youth FX program
Albany’s award-winning Youth FX teen filmmaking program will host the world premiere of new short films on Thursday, May 19th at 7 pm at Spectrum 8 Landmark Theaters. The screening will feature brand new narrative and documentary films created by youth filmmakers from the city of Albany. The bulk of the films were produced as part of the 2021 Youth FX summer program where 16 young people ages 14-18 explored the technical and creative aspects of filmmaking and digital media over the course of 5 weeks. There will be a Q & A with filmmakers, cast, and crew after the screening.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students, and a special donor price of $30.
All proceeds raised from the screening will support the 2022 Youth FX summer programs.
