Suicide Prevention 101 T4T enables Family Support Agencies to train foster parents and staff in suicide prevention efforts. [NRS 424.0365] Suicide Prevention 101 (SP101) Training For Trainers, for Family Support Agencies (formerly known as 'Gatekeeper') is a 4 hour in-person training to certify trainers in delivering 2 hour SP101 classes to FSA staff and/or foster parents, utilizing foster care data. This training increases one's knowledge and understanding of suicide, to recognize warning signs, to identify risk and protective factors, and to increase willingness and ability to intervene with a person at risk for suicide. It will provide insight for interacting with foster youth and identify referral resources. When registering for this class please ensure you are able to attend, and do not register for multiple classes at the same time. Please read and complete the registration form carefully. -------------------------------- NoteThe Nevada Office of Suicide Prevention closely follows the latest guidance from the Center for Disease Control, as well as federal, state and local mandates. At this time, our current guidance for our in-person classes is as follows: On the first day of the class, if you have tested positive for Covid-19 within the past 5 days or are currently experiencing symptoms (e.g., sore throat, cough, body ache, hardness in breathing), please cancel your class registration and reschedule for a later date.Masks are optional and encouraged regardless of vaccination status.Social distancing will be possible dependent on the size of the classroom.
