This is a required course in order to get licensed as an Armed security officer in the State of Texas.

The Texas Level III – Commissioned Security Officer Training Course is a Texas Department of Public Safety - Private Security Program required course in order to apply for a Texas Security License. This 47 Hour Course meets all training requirements needed for licensure.
Monday to Friday 8:00 am (08:00) to 6:00 pm (18:00) and costs $200.00.
The price includes:
- Classroom Fee - Everything you need to know to complete the licensing requirements set forth by the Texas Department of Public Safety - Private Security Program to get licensed as a Commissioned Security Officer - Certificate of Completion for Pepper Spray
- Certificate of Completion for Level III Training
Please bring to class:
- Your state I.D. or Driver’s License,
- Pen
- Note Pad or Paper for notetaking
Additional items needed for Day 5 (Friday):
- Bring your UNLOADED handgun and UNLOADED magazine in a bag or case on the required day the instructor instructs you to bring the handgun to the shooting range.
- Only standard handgun calibers can be shot on the range.
- Bring 50 pistol rounds for the qualification exercise.
- Bring 8 rounds of 00 Buck and 1 Slug Round.
- Bring extra ammo for practice.

- Baseball cap
Qualification with a Shotgun is included and recommended but is not required.
Visit the office to pay by cash or money order before the day of class.
