WAYLAND, MA — A person's "health episode" led local police to close down a major Wayland street for more than six hours on Monday night.
According to Wayland police, a person living near the corner of West Plain Street and Route 126/Old Connecticut Path began experiencing the episode around 5:15 p.m. The street remained closed to traffic until the situation was resolved around 11:30 p.m.
"As a precautionary measure the street was closed to traffic until our first responders demobilized at approximately 11:30 p.m.," Wayland police Lt. Ed Burman said.
Burman said the department appreciated the public's cooperation during the incident, but did not provide any further details about what happened.
