As you plan your commute this week, keep in mind an inbound-traffic detour on North Ave, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
To accommodate water main improvements, inbound traffic on North Ave. (from Reading, towards Wakefield) will be detoured around a work zone near Veterans Field. Drivers will be routed to the Prospect St. ramp and follow detour signs toward Albion. Northbound traffic (towards Reading) can proceed on North Ave. as usual.
There will be no detours during off hours or on the weekends. The detour is expected to be in effect until May 13, though weather and other factors can impact the speed of work. If your travels take you through the area, please allow additional time for this roadwork.
