2 Dogs Rescued After 2 Homes Catch Fire In North Ybor Heights

TAMPA, FL — Two homes in North Ybor Heights were heavily damaged by smoke and flames Tuesday when a fire broke out Tuesday. Tampa Fire Rescue responded to the fire in the 3000 block of North 17th Avenue at 9:02 a.m. and found heavy smoke and flames visible from in between the two houses. Crews entered the homes and rescued two dogs. There were no residents homes at the time. The fire was under control within 30 minutes. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the families living in the two homes. Tampa Fire Rescue investigators are still determining the cause of the fire.
