FLORIDA — With the U.S. Supreme Court reportedly poised to overturn Roe v. Wade, according to a draft majority opinion leaked to Politico Monday, abortion access for thousands of Floridian women could be impacted. If Roe v. Wade is overturned, Florida is likely to ban abortions, according to the Guttmacher Institute. The state legislature attempted to pass both a 20-week and a six-week abortion ban in 2021. Last month, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed House Bill 5, better known as the Reducing Fetal and Infant Mortality Act, into law.
