Press release from the Port Jefferson School District: May 2, 2022 In a recent game, the Port Jefferson varsity baseball team defeated Greenport 15-1. The victory was also the 100th victory for the team's head coach, Jesse Rosen. Coach Rosen has been the varsity baseball coach for the past 12 years, during this time his players have had seven playoff appearances, including two in the Suffolk County finals. "To see how excited the players were to help get their coach his 100th victory is a testament to the positive impact Coach Rosen has on the lives of his student-athletes," Athletic Director Adam Sherard said. "He brings passion not only to the baseball field, but to the relationships he builds with his players. This is an exceptional milestone for Coach Rosen and I look forward to the team's continued success as the playoffs approach this spring."
