Press release from the Port Jefferson School District: May 2, 2022 Earl L. Vandermeulen High School senior Luke Filippi was recognized by the National Football Foundation for being a member of the Golden Eleven Football Team for top high school scholar-athletes. Luke carries a weighted average of 98 and scored a 1400 on the SAT. He earned All-County, All-Long Island and First Team All-State honors for football. Luke has been the captain of the football team for the last three years and received the Team Most Valuable Player award this past fall. Luke is also the co-president of the Port Jefferson School District's Varsity Club and a member of the Interact Club. This press release was produced by the Port Jefferson School District.
