Press release from the Port Jefferson School District: May 2, 2022 Earl L. Vandermeulen High School senior Norah Abbas has ambition. A student in the audio production program at Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology, Norah served as the volunteer moderator for a Producer Panel discussion after a "Pioneers in Skirts" watch party. The award-winning documentary highlights the obstacles that often get in the way of women's pioneering ambition. Norah was lauded by the school's Director of Career Technical and Adult Education Leah Arnold for her courage in stepping up to the task and her contributions to the discussion.
