PORT CHESTER, NY — The final public hearing on the proposed 2022-23 budget for the Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District will be held on May 5, at 7:30 p.m.
The meeting will detail the spending plan for the upcoming school year. The proposed budget is $125,982,994 million, with an 8 percent increase over the 2021-22 spending package.
School officials said the tax levy will increase by 0 percent if the budget is approved by voters later this month.
There are a total of two school trustee seats up for election; one seat will be for a three-year term and one seat will be for a one-year term. The candidates on the ballot will be:
