NEW LONDON, CT — A New London beach has landed on a best-in-the-country list from Travel + Leisure magazine. Ocean Beach Park is one of 25 beaches on the list. Here's what they had to say about the New London beach: "This half-mile, golden-sand beach with gentle tides provides great views of ferries and schooners sailing past the New London lighthouse. Ocean Beach Park, located along the boardwalk, features a picnic area, playground, snack bar, mini-golf, an arcade, and more." Travel + Leisure said that they selected the best beaches for "their attractions, location, or unique amenities."
